Ahmed Amer

Co-Founder at Tevent

As Co-Founder, and CEO, Ahmed has somewhat of an omnipresent role at Tevent. Straddling the various departments, and working collaboratively with them all, is his modus operandi. From product roadmaps to marketing copy and outreach work – there is very little he doesn’t do.

From an early age, Ahmed demonstrated enormous potential, taking multiple examinations years early. He achieved three consecutive Gold awards in the UKMT Math. Challenge (awarded to the top 6%) and straight A* grades in his high-school exams, then a First in BSc Physics. He gained a prestigious Institute of Physics scholarship to attend the University of Cambridge. There, he performed with the famed ‘Footlights’ comedy troupe.

Ahmed runs events, organizing a stand-up comedy night at the tenured venue The Albany, hosting comedy events since the 80s. He has hosted high-profile UK comics including the current Edinburgh Award winner – comedy’s biggest award globally. He is involved in private pre-university Physics tuition, partnering a not-for-profit organization benefiting disadvantaged students.
