Dan Ruden

Dan Ruden is an experienced law enforcement professional with a career spanning several decades, currently serving as an Agency Instructor III at the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service and as an Instructor at Arbill, specializing in hazardous materials training and certification. Ruden has held various leadership roles, including Deputy Chief of Police for the City of Rocklin, with responsibilities overseeing major divisions of the police department and acting as Chief in the absence of the Chief of Police. Ruden has also contributed as an Adjunct Professor in the Administration of Justice Department at Sierra College, focusing on criminal law, community policing, and basic police academy training, and held interim Chief of Police positions in both the City of Rio Vista and the City of Lincoln. Prior experience includes rising through the ranks from Police Officer to Police Lieutenant in the City of West Sacramento and serving as a Police Officer in the City of South San Francisco. Ruden holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Union Institute & University and has also pursued additional education through the University of Virginia.
