Susan De Ghize

Associate Professor at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi

Dr. Susan de Ghizé has spoken at numerous international and national conferences, in topics varying from traditional forms in Leos Janacék’s Second String Quartet to common tone modulations in Mozart's piano sonatas. Dr. de Ghizé has received two grants to study in Leipzig, Germany, to conduct research on nineteenth-century theorist Moritz Hauptmann. Dr. de Ghizé received her B.A. in Music from the University of California at Berkeley and her Ph.D in Music Theory from the University of California at Santa Barbara. Before arriving to TAMUCC, she has taught at The University of Texas Brownsville, the University of Denver, Northeastern University in Boston, and the National University of Singapore.
