Jason Contreras

Jason Contreras serves as an Assistant Attorney General at the Texas Attorney General's Office since October 2006, focusing on the litigation of civil cases, particularly in labor and employment law, on behalf of state agencies, high-level state officials, and judges in both state and federal courts across Texas. This role encompasses all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, dispositive motions, mediation, negotiation, and trials. Prior experience includes a position as a Law Clerk for U.S. District Judge Edward Prado in 2000. Jason Contreras holds a Juris Doctor degree from SMU Dedman School of Law (1998-2001) and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Texas State University.
