Michelle Garza is an experienced legal professional with a strong background in open records and regulatory compliance. Currently serving as an Assistant Attorney General for the Texas Attorney General's Office since January 2018, Michelle has previously held significant roles including Vice President of Operations & Legal at Flash Tattoos and Records Management Attorney at the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Michelle's expertise extends to issuing formal opinions under the Texas Public Information Act and providing appellate review for the Texas Workforce Commission. Michelle earned a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from The University of Texas School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Harvard University.
