Rachel Behrendt

Rachel Behrendt is an Assistant Attorney General at the Texas Attorney General's office since August 2023, following a position as a Research Specialist. Prior experience includes serving as a Law Clerk at Bean, Kinney & Korman, P.C., and as a Legal Extern at Hirschler Fleischer. Rachel gained judicial experience as an intern at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas and the Texas Second Court of Appeals. Additional roles have included a Front Desk Clerk and Building Supervisor at Arlington Heights Park District, a Policy Intern at First Liberty Institute, and a Congressional Intern in the office of Representative John Shimkus. Rachel holds a Doctor of Law degree from George Mason University - Antonin Scalia Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hillsdale College in Politics, Psychology, and Spanish.
