Upper School Principal Of Texas Ballet Theater School And Professional Division at Texas Ballet Theater

Charmaine Hunter is a highly experienced dance educator and administrator, currently serving as the Director of Community Engagement at The Sarasota Ballet since May 2024. With an extensive background in community outreach, teaching, and adjudication, Hunter has been an Adjudicator and Master Teacher for the Universal Ballet Competition since June 2017 and has played significant roles at organizations like Sheer Elite International and Orlando Ballet. As the Upper School Principal for Texas Ballet Theater School, Hunter collaborates closely with the Artistic Director to uphold high standards of artistic excellence. Additionally, Hunter co-founded the Las Vegas Contemporary Dance Theater, managed performances as a Booking Executive and Senior Entertainment Manager at various venues, and contributed to Disney Musicals in Schools as a Teaching Artist. Hunter's educational background includes a focus on Visual and Performing Arts from the Professional Children's School and advanced training from the American Ballet Theatre.
