Cherish Qualls

Cherish Qualls is an experienced academic and engineer, currently serving as an Associate Professor of Professional Practice at Texas Christian University since August 2019. Qualls also holds the position of Associate Chair and Senior Lecturer in Mechanical and Energy Engineering at the University of North Texas, where employment began in January 2011. Previous roles include Senior Systems Engineer at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, where guidance algorithms and Kalman filters were developed for missile defense systems, and teaching positions at both Texas Christian University and Auburn University. Qualls earned a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Auburn University in 2004, having also obtained a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace and Industrial and Systems Engineering, respectively.
