Dr. Amiso George

Dr. Amiso George, APR, Fellow PRSA, serves as Chair of the Race & Reconciliation Initiative and Professor at Texas Christian University since 2005, specializing in Crisis Communication, Strategic Campaigns, Strategic Writing, and Global Communication. With a record of leadership as the former chair of the Strategic Communication Department and program director, Dr. George also coaches award-winning campaign teams such as TCU-PRSSA Bateman. A Fulbright Scholar at the American University of Central Asia in 2022, Dr. George taught digital storytelling and conducted workshops in crisis communication. Previous academic roles include External Examiner for the Public Relations program at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman and Visiting Associate Professor at Swinburne University of Technology. A background in media includes positions at C-SPAN and Voice of America, supplemented by a PhD in Mass Communication, an MA in International Relations, and a BS in Journalism from Ohio University.
