Yohna Chambers

Yohna J Chambers is an accomplished human resources leader currently serving as the Vice Chancellor and Chief Human Resources Officer at Texas Christian University since July 2016. Previous roles include Director of Faculty Initiatives and Assistant Vice President for Human Resources at Virginia Tech, where notable contributions involved developing faculty support programs and strategic HR practices. Chambers also held the position of Chief Human Resources Officer at James Madison University, directing comprehensive HR operations, and served in various HR roles at institutions such as the Medical University of South Carolina and Mississippi State University. Active in professional organizations, Chambers was a board member for CUPA-HR representing the Southern Region. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Education in Learning and Organizational Change from Baylor University and a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from Mississippi State University.
