Annessa Lewis

Annessa Lewis is an experienced professional with a strong background in grant compliance, strategic planning, and community outreach. Currently serving as a Grant Compliance Monitor & Environmental Specialist at the Texas Department of Agriculture since September 2020, Annessa conducts compliance monitoring for the Texas Community Development Block Grant program. Previously, Annessa held the position of Executive Director at Texas Advocates, leading various initiatives to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Annessa's experience also includes roles as a Volunteer & Events Coordinator at Any Baby Can Child and Family Resource Center, where significant increases in volunteer engagement were achieved, as well as social media consultancy and volunteer recruitment at Drive a Senior. Annessa holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Smith College, awarded in 2009.
