Jennifer Sims is an experienced leader in public health and human services, currently serving as Deputy Commissioner at the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services since January 2023. Prior to this, Jennifer established Jennifer Sims Consulting in 2021, offering expertise in strategic planning and policy development across various sectors. Jennifer's extensive background includes roles as Deputy Commissioner at the Texas Department of State Health Services and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, where Jennifer oversaw large budgets and significant operational teams. With a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Metropolitan State University of Denver, Jennifer has demonstrated a commitment to enhancing service delivery and fostering positive organizational change throughout a career that spans over two decades.
