Raju Thapa

Raju Thapa, Ph.D., P.E. is a seasoned transportation engineer with extensive experience in research and academia. Currently, Raju serves as a Transportation Engineer at the Texas Department of Transportation since 2022. Previous roles include Researcher and Assistant Professor at the Louisiana Transportation Research Center (2019-2022) and Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Institute for Transportation at Iowa State University. Raju's academic journey includes a PhD in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation Engineering from Iowa State University, a Master's degree from Louisiana State University, and an undergraduate degree from the Institute of Engineering, Western Region Campus. Raju has contributed to significant projects such as the Evaluation of Intersection Collision Warning Systems and the History of Road Design Standards in Louisiana DOTD, demonstrating a strong commitment to advancing transportation engineering.
