John Jones

John Jones currently serves as the Assistant Chief of School Safety and Security at the Texas Education Agency since June 2023. Prior to this role, John held the position of Director of Safety and Chief of Police for Bullard ISD Police Department from October 2021 to June 2023 and served as the Director of School Safety for Bullard Independent School District from October 2018 to October 2021. John's extensive background includes over 20 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) from 1998 to September 2018, where responsibilities included investigating health care fraud as a Special Agent and later serving as a Supervisory Special Agent. Additionally, John worked as a Credit Analyst at Ferris Baker Watts Inc from 1996 to 1998 and as a Commercial Loan Officer at United Bankshares, Inc from 1990 to 1996. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Penn State University and a Master of Business Administration from Marshall University.
