Charlie Cano

Charlie Cano is the General Manager and CEO of Etex Telephone Cooperative, a leading communications provider in rural East Texas, since January 2003. Cano oversees the company’s fiber optic internet, IPTV, VOIP, and transport services, impacting over 40 educational institutions and 100 towers across 12 counties. In addition to the role at Etex, Cano serves as a Director for the Texas Telephone Association and is a member of the Board of Directors for Texas Lone Star Network LLC. Responsibilities also include being an external member of the Audit Committee at the University of Texas at Tyler and participating in the Community Engagement Panel for the Credit Union of Texas. As President of Raco LLC, Cano manages a subdivision project that encompasses lot layout and utility designs. Previous experience includes Engineering Manager at Etex Telephone and Director of Sales/Engineer at CHR Solutions. Cano holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University.
