Chris Steddum has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Chris started their career at Credit Suisse in 2009, where they held roles as an Associate in the Investment Banking Division and later as a Vice President. In 2014, they joined GMP Securities as a Senior Vice President and later became a Director. Chris then moved on to Stifel Financial Corp. in 2016, where they worked as a Director until 2019. Currently, Chris Steddum serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Texas Pacific Land Corporation, a position they assumed in 2021 after previously working as the VP of Finance and Investor Relations from 2019 to 2021.

Chris Steddum attended Klein Forest High School in Houston, TX from 1995 to 1999. After completing high school, they went on to study at the University of South Carolina from 1999 to 2004, where they pursued a degree in Finance with a focus on Insurance and Risk Management. Following their undergraduate studies, Chris furthered their education at Rice Business - Jones Graduate School of Business from 2007 to 2009, earning their MBA with a specialization in Finance.

Texas Pacific Land Corporation is one of the largest landowners in the State of Texas with approximately 880,000 acres of land in West Texas. The Corporation is not an oil and gas producer, but its surface and royalty ownership allow revenue generation through the entire value chain of oil and gas development, including through fixed fee payments for use of our land, revenue for sales of materials (caliche) used in the construction of infrastructure, providing sourced water and treated produced water, revenue from our oil and gas royalty interests, and revenues related to saltwater disposal on our land.
