Christian Townsend is an experienced attorney currently working at the Texas Public Policy Foundation since June 2021. Prior legal roles include serving as a Legal Associate at the Cato Institute and an Executive Online Editor for the Indiana Law Journal. Townsend's legal experience encompasses drafting motions, editing briefs, and conducting research to support litigation efforts, as well as submitting proposals and comments to federal agencies. Additional internships at institutions such as the New Civil Liberties Alliance, Tilleke & Gibbins, and Liberty Fund further enhanced Townsend's expertise in constitutional studies, corporate law, and academic research. Townsend holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Indiana University Maurer School of Law and a Bachelor's Degree in History and Political Science from Cedarville University.
