Rod Bordelon serves as a Distinguished Senior Fellow in Regulatory Affairs at the Texas Public Policy Foundation since 2019. Simultaneously, Rod Bordelon operates the Law Office of Rod Bordelon as an Attorney and Regulatory Consultant, specializing in insurance, workers' compensation, medical cost containment, and risk management. Prior to these roles, Rod Bordelon was the Commissioner of Workers' Compensation for the Texas Department of Insurance from 2008 to 2014, where significant reforms and improvements in the Texas Workers' Compensation system were achieved. Additionally, Rod Bordelon served as Public Insurance Counsel for the Texas Office of Public Insurance Counsel from 1995 to 2008. Rod Bordelon holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin and a Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston.
