Clarissa Martinez

Clarissa Martinez is a part-time lecturer at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and an adjunct instructor at Texas Southmost College, teaching classes in art appreciation, image and illustration, digital media, and portfolio for studio art. As a freelance illustrator, Clarissa has worked on editorial illustrations, book covers, and storybook illustrations. With a Master of Fine Arts in Illustration Practice, Clarissa also has experience coordinating exhibitions and assisting professors with teaching responsibilities. A former editorial cartoonist for The Rider student newspaper, Clarissa is skilled in creating illustrations that satirize current events and contribute to layout design.
