Jennifer Vela

Jennifer Vela has extensive work experience in various roles within the Texas State Aquarium. Jennifer started working at the aquarium in 2010 as the Vice President of Government Affairs and Marketing. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Marketing, Sales, and Communications. In addition, Jennifer also served as the Director of Sales, where they were responsible for managing private and special events sales and collaborating with local partners to promote the aquarium as a destination for corporate events. Before joining the Texas State Aquarium, Jennifer worked as a Video Editor at KIII-TV from 2008 to 2010.

Jennifer Vela holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communication and Media Studies from both Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and The University of Texas at San Antonio.
