Myra Vassian

Myra Vassian is an experienced voice teacher currently serving at Texas State University since August 2017, where instruction is provided to students majoring in Music Studies, Sound Recording Technology, and Performance. With deep roots in private instruction since 1985 at Vassian Studios, Vassian teaches adult students in various music styles, both in-person and online. Previous experience includes a role as Voice Instructor for the Evening Division at The Juilliard School from 2007 to May 2017, Director of Activities at Congress Hall Hotel from 2008 to August 2010, and Director of Music at The City Church in New York from 1997 to 2007. Vassian holds a Performing Artists Certificate in Opera from Bieler Opernstudio, a Master of Arts in Voice from Western Carolina University, and a Bachelor of Music in Voice from Baylor University.
