Chad B.

Chad B.'s work experience includes a role as the System Director of Clery Compliance at Texas Tech University System since May 2020. In this position, they collaborate with system leadership and Clery Officers to develop a strategic plan for program advancement, prepares and leads monthly status meetings, and coordinates daily compliance tasks with each campus. Previously, they served as the Director of Risk Management & Compliance at Texas Tech University System from October 2022 to December 2023.

Before joining Texas Tech, Chad B. worked at Indiana Wesleyan University as the Director of Campus Police & Emergency Management / Chief of Police from March 2017 to November 2019. Chad oversaw a department budget of $600,000 and managed a team of police officers and student employees. Chad was responsible for university emergency management, Clery Compliance, and the campus surveillance system.

Prior to their role at Indiana Wesleyan University, Chad B. worked at Southern Illinois University, where they held several positions in the police department. Chad served as a Police Sergeant - Compliance from June 2014, fulfilling responsibilities such as routine patrol, detective work, and field training. Chad also served as a Police Corporal - Patrol from February 2012 to June 2014, and as a Police Officer from August 2004 to February 2012. In these positions, they supervised shifts, assisted with policy review and implementation, administered correction action, and coordinated department activities.

Additionally, Chad B. gained experience as a Firefighter/First Responder at the Carbondale Township Fire Department from May 2003 to July 2009.

Chad B. obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Administration of Justice from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale in 2003. Chad later pursued a Masters of Legal Studies from the same university, which they completed in 2015. Additionally, Chad B. received certification as a Clery Compliance Officer from the National Association of Clery Compliance Officers and Professionals in 2019.
