Werner Kuhr

Werner Kuhr is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in innovation and entrepreneurship within academia and industry. Currently serving as the Associate Vice President of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Texas Tech University, Werner is responsible for enhancing the university's innovation ecosystem. Previous roles include Director of the McNeil Center of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Colorado School of Mines, and Director of the Stevens Venture Center, where Werner focused on establishing funding and resources for entrepreneurial participants. As Technology Commercialization Director at Stevens Institute of Technology, Werner played a key role in developing the university’s intellectual property portfolio and integrating entrepreneurship into educational programs. An experienced researcher, Werner has also held academic positions at the University of California, Riverside, and contributed to various postdoctoral research projects. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Indiana University Bloomington and postdoctoral studies at Iowa State University.
