Gregory Palm

Greg is a senior advisor to The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. Previously, he was general counsel of Goldman Sachs and a member of its Management Committee, having joined the firm and been elected a partner in 1992.

Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Greg was a partner in Sullivan & Cromwell. He earlier served as a law clerk to the Hon. Henry J. Friendly (US Court of Appeals, 2d Cir.) and Justice Lewis F. Powell, Jr. (US Supreme Court).

Greg received a J.D. degree from Harvard Law School, an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and an S.B. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

While at Goldman Sachs, Greg has been resident both in its New York and London offices and in addition to serving on its Management Committee, he also has chaired or been a member of various other firm-wide committees, including its Risk, Business Practices, Global Control and Compliance, and Operating Committees.

At Sullivan & Cromwell, Greg’s practice focused principally on corporate and financial matters, including securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, derivatives and general counseling.
