Michael Chan

Michael Chan is the current Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer at Textainer Group Holdings. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Director - Treasury & Capital Markets at The Cronos Group from July 2011 to May 2015, and the Chief Financial Officer at The Chartres Lodging Group from November 2006 to July 2011.

At The Cronos Group, Chan was responsible for raising over $3.8 billion in capital and optimizing the company's debt structure. Michael also served as a close advisor to the CFO on critical issues such as accounting, finance, and legal matters.

At The Chartres Lodging Group, Chan oversaw the administration and control of over 40 individual legal entities. Michael was also instrumental in the execution of 7 hotel acquisitions and 3 sales during their tenure.

Michael Chan has a bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus in accounting from California State University - East Bay. Michael is also certified by the California Board of Accountancy as a Certified Public Accountant, though their status is currently inactive.
