Abhishek Jain

Abhishek Jain has a diverse work experience in engineering roles spanning over several companies. Abhishek is currently serving as the Senior Director of Engineering at TextNow, where they manage the Core Engineering Teams responsible for iOS, Android, Web applications, Calling, Messaging, and Wireless backend/infrastructure. Abhishek has been recognized for their contributions in leading a team that supports over 500 million calling minutes and more than 2 billion messages per month.

Prior to TextNow, Abhishek worked at 8x8 as the Senior Director of Engineering, where they managed teams working on UCaaS, CPaaS, and CCaaS. Abhishek also served as the Director of Engineering, leading the Virtual Office mobile and desktop Client team. Their role included being a part of the architect team responsible for the overall technical architecture of 8x8 product offerings.

Before 8x8, Abhishek was an Engineering Leader at Dialpad, where they led the development of their in-house mobile VoIP SDK, resulting in significant cost savings for the company. Abhishek also contributed to the architecture of their SFU-based video conference solution, which accelerated Dialpad's video strategy.

Abhishek has also held positions at Kollective Technology, ShoreTel, Qualcomm Innovation Center Inc, Samsung, and Tejas Networks. At Samsung, they served as a Software Engineering Manager, leading the Multimedia framework team of the IMS Solution team. While at ShoreTel, they were responsible for the development of an Enterprise VoIP solution.

Abhishek Jain pursued their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Raipur from 1998 to 2002. Following this, they furthered their education at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, where they obtained their Master of Technology (M. Tech.) degree with a focus on Communication Systems from 2002 to 2004.
