Ryan Mitchell has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Ryan started their career in 1998 as a co-founder of Whois.Net. Ryan then worked as an engineer at Tabnet, Inc., where they built infrastructure and managed security for IT systems before the company was sold to Verio. At Verio, they served as a senior systems engineer.

In 2004, Ryan joined Logitel as a software engineer and later moved on to Telecom Logic, where they held the position of director of engineering. In this role, they engineered VoIP networks for carriers in the US, Suriname, and Brazil, while also managing and mentoring a small technical team.

Ryan briefly worked at Nike as a senior software engineer, focusing on software development and systems engineering for cloud microservices. Ryan then joined PrivacySentry as an Android engineer, specializing in security and privacy applications for Android devices.

Ryan Mitchell pursued their education at Oregon State University from 1991 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in computational physics. In 2009, they briefly attended Portland State University, although no specific degree or field of study was provided. Additionally, in August 2018, they obtained a certification in Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera.
