Control Laws And Handling Qualities Engineer at Textron eAviation

William Alexander Dean is a highly skilled engineer with extensive experience in aerospace and aeronautical engineering. Currently serving as a Control Laws and Handling Qualities Engineer at Textron eAviation since February 2022, William focuses on eVTOL aircraft for Urban Air Mobility. Previously, at Bell Flight, William developed guidance and control laws for the Autonomous Pod Transport vehicle as a Flight Controls Systems Engineer. At Raytheon, as a Systems Engineer in the Guidance, Navigation, and Control Center, William contributed to various projects involving algorithm designs and performance analyses. Earlier experience includes work as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Maryland, where William supported research in the Autonomous Vehicle Laboratory and taught Aircraft Flight Dynamics. William holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Maryland.
