Amjad Waqar

Amjad Waqar has over two decades of experience in the financial sector, with a focus on investments and risk management. Amjad began their career in 2001 as an accountant with Abbas Steel Group. In 2007, they were promoted to Head of Group Accounts & Finance. Amjad held this position for two years before moving to Mega & Forbes Group of Companies, where they again served as Head of Group Accounts & Finance. In 2009, they joined Pioneer Cement Limited as Chief Financial Officer. Amjad remained with the company for three years before moving to Lucky Cement Limited, where they served as Head of Investments from 2015 to 2019. In February 2019, they joined Tez Financial Services as Chief Financial Officer.

Amjad Waqar's educational career began with him obtaining a degree in chartered accountancy from the School of C.A. Amjad then went on to obtain a second degree in information technology from the School of A.C.C.A. Finally, they completed their tertiary education with a diploma in information technology from the S.B.T.E.
