Mia Barthel

Mia Barthel is a seasoned grants analyst and researcher currently working at TFG since January 2023, where responsibilities include identifying and securing grant funding for critical projects and collaborating with the Senior Grants Team on federal funding processes. Previously, as the Americorps Vista Grant Writer at Jesse Tree from November 2021 to December 2022, Mia was accountable for researching, developing, and submitting over 100 grants, successfully raising over $2 million for eviction and homelessness prevention initiatives in Idaho. Mia's experience also includes an internship at the International Rescue Committee, providing mobility and transportation support to refugees, and serving as the first Sustainability Consultant for the Idaho Botanical Garden, where project goals and a Carbon Footprint Report were developed. Mia holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from Boise State University, earned in 2019.
