Katie Keys

Katie Keys has a diverse work experience ranging from business development to teaching and program coordination. Katie started their career in 2013 as a Chef's Assistant and Foodservice at TK's Galley, where they managed inventory and interacted with customers. In 2015, they worked as a Chef's Baking Assistant and Front Desk Cashier at Fiorello Dolce Patisserie, where they assisted the head Bakery Chef and oversaw the final presentation of bakery products.

From 2015 to 2016, Katie worked as a Lab Assistant at Huntington High School, where they set up and maintained the lab environment for physics experiments. Katie also organized lesson plans and documentation for the teacher.

In 2019, they became a Personal Care Assistant and Teacher's Assistant at Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania. Here, they supervised a classroom, assisted students with disabilities using technology and educational tools, and collaborated with teachers on lesson plans and materials.

Katie then ventured into teaching English as a second language online. From 2020 to 2021, they worked as an English Second Language Teacher at VIPKid, teaching grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure to students in China. Katie assessed student progress, provided personalized feedback, and implemented reward systems to encourage engagement.

In 2021, Katie also worked as a Remote English Teacher at Whales English, instructing students in virtual classrooms and creating personalized feedback for parents. Katie implemented reward systems to increase student engagement.

From November 2021 to March 2022, Katie worked as a Child Care Supervisor at Deer Valley Resort. Katie managed a ski school program and childcare center, overseeing up to 60 children per day and addressing any issues with parents and staff. Katie also created a safe and enjoyable environment for learning skiing.

Most recently, Katie started working as a Business Development Associate at Nationwide TFS, LLC in January 2023.

Katie Keys earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Rehabilitation and Human Services from Penn State University. Katie attended the university from 2016 to 2020.
