Gayle Shaw-Hones, PhD, RN obtained their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Instructional Technology (MSIT) from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania from 1994 to 2000. During this time, they also obtained their certification as a Registered Nurse from the PA State Nursing Board.

Between 2002 and 2008, Gayle Shaw-Hones attended Drexel University where they pursued a PhD in Educational Technology.
