Vice President, QHSE at TGS

Gabriel Rolland has a diverse work experience. Gabriel currently holds the position of Vice President, QHSE at TGS, where they are responsible for managing the development and execution of the company's HSE strategy. Prior to this, from 2019 to 2023, Gabriel served as the Director, HSE at TGS, where they played a key role in establishing and implementing company-wide HSE policies. Before their HSE roles, Gabriel worked as a Marine Project Manager at TGS from 2013 to 2019, overseeing vessel operations and ensuring the quality of field data. Gabriel'searlier experience includes being a Senior Geographic Information Systems Specialist at TGS from 2009 to 2013, where they handled day-to-day GIS requests and provided training. Prior to their time at TGS, Gabriel worked as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Texas A&M University from 2006 to 2008. Gabriel also gained retail experience as a Lawn & Garden Sales Associate at Sears Holdings Corporation from 2005 to 2006.

Gabriel Rolland obtained a Master's degree in GIS and Remote Sensing from Texas A&M University from 2005 to 2008. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Geography and GIS from the same university from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, Gabriel has earned several certifications in various fields, including Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED from the American Red Cross in 2023, and the NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, passed with distinction, from THE NATIONAL EXAMINATION BOARD IN OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH in 2019. Gabriel also completed ESRI Introduction to Geoprocessing Scripts Using Python (16 hours) from TeachMeGIS, and received certifications in Fundamentals of Petroleum Exploration, Drilling, and Production fromThe University of Tulsa and GIS Model Builder (16 hours) from TeachMeGIS. Gabriel has also completed the OPITO Approved HUET & EBS certification.
