Dr. Areeporn Asawinpongphan

Dr. Areeporn Asawinpongphan is a research fellow specializing in energy policy at the Thailand Development Research Institute since August 2023. Previously, Dr. Asawinpongphan served as a PME project manager at McKinsey & Company from April 2022 to September 2023 and held various managerial roles in corporate strategy and economic and energy research at BANPU Public Company Limited from July 2015 to March 2022. Early career experience includes positions as Assistant Vice President at Kasikorn Bank, Regional Planning Advisor, Financial Analyst, and Process Improvement Lead at ExxonMobil. Dr. Asawinpongphan earned a Ph.D. in Development Economics and International Development from NIDA Thailand, an MSc in Economics from the University of Southampton, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Chulalongkorn University.
