Giovanni Gasparro has worked in various roles throughout their career. From 1999 to 2003, they were a Hw Development Engineer at Marconi, where they were responsible for designing optoelectronics modules for DWDM applications. Giovanni also led a team focused on analogic circuit design. From 2003 to 2012, Gasparro worked at Elettronica SpA as an Electronic Warfare System Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for a subset of functions for the ECM subsystem for the FREMM program. At Thales Alenia Space, Gasparro has held two positions. From 2012 to 2018, they were the Head of Active Antennas Electronics, overseeing the design and development of TR modules and Electronic Front-Ends. Since 2018, they have been the Head of Active Antennas, where they are in charge of requirement specification, architecture definition, and system analysis for active antennas used in Earth Observation and Telecommunications domains.
Giovanni Gasparro completed their education from 1991 to 1998 at Politecnico di Bari, where they obtained their 1° ciclo - Laurea L degree in Electrical Engineering and TLC. In terms of additional certifications, in October 2018, they obtained the LEAN Engineering Practitioner certification from Thales. Later, in February 2019, they acquired the CSEP certification from INCOSE. In 2020, Gasparro obtained several certifications, including Advanced B2-C1 English Level from ABA English in September, Lean Management for all sectors, Master the Fourier transform and its applications, Master your negotiating skill, and An Introduction to Reliability Engineering from Udemy in May, as well as Root Cause Analysis and the 8D Corrective Action Process from Udemy in April.
