Marc-Henri Serre has a diverse work experience. Marc-Henri began their career at Direction du Budget - Bercy in 2008, where they served as an Adjoint chef de bureau puis Chef de bureau until 2012. Marc-Henri then joined the cabinet du ministre délégué au budget as a Conseiller budgéta from 2012 to 2014. In 2014, they became a Conseiller technique budget at the Cabinet du Premier Ministre until 2015. In 2016, Serre joined Thales Alenia Space as the Director of engineering Observation satellites and later became the Vice President Domain Observation Sciences France in 2018.

Marc-Henri Serre completed their Master's degree in Mathematics, Physics, and Economics from École Polytechnique in 2005. Marc-Henri also holds a Licence degree in Philosophy from Université Paris-Sorbonne.
