Arturo Francese

Arturo Francese is a seasoned Structures Specialist currently employed at Thales Defense & Security, Inc. since September 2023. Previously, Francese held various positions at Cranfield University as a Research Associate from September 2020 to August 2023 and at Cranfield Aerospace Solutions as a Senior Stress Engineer from February 2020 to July 2023. Additional experience includes work as a MRB/Stress Engineer at UTC Aerospace Systems, contributing to Electric, Environmental & Engine Systems, from August 2016 to January 2020, and serving as a Lead Stress Engineer at Airbus in the UK from May 2013 to April 2016. Francese’s career began with roles such as MRB Stress Engineer at Aircelle and Stress Engineer at Assystem in 2011. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Fracture Mechanics from Cranfield University obtained between 2018 and 2023 and a PhD in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, completed from 2003 to 2007.
