Andy Rhoades is a seasoned Lead Subsurface Utility Engineer and SHEQ Advisor, with extensive experience in utility surveying and asset protection. They served on the Board for the Buried Asset Centre of Knowledge at the Institute of Civil Engineers from 2012 to 2021 and were a Director at Buried Asset Protection Consultancy Ltd from 2018 to 2023. Currently, Andy is a Technical Author for PAS128:2022 at BSI and a Steering Group member for utility surveying standards. They have been instrumental in improving safety and operational efficiency in construction projects involving underground utilities, notably through their founding role in the Utility Strike Avoidance Group.
