People Operations Generalist

Job Overview

As a People Operations Generalist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day activities of the People Operations (HR) department. You will assist in various HR functions, contribute to employee engagement initiatives, and ensure the smooth operation of HR processes. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Onboarding and Offboarding:
    • Coordinate the entire pre-onboarding and onboarding process for new hires, including international new hires, and conduct new hire orientations, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
    • Process employee offboarding, including exit interviews.
  • Payroll Administration:
    • Handle international payroll on a bi-weekly and monthly basis from start to finish, including gathering and examining timesheets to ensure their validity and compliance, ensuring time off requests are calculated accordingly and approved timely, generating payroll reports for People Operations and Finance and addressing payroll inquiries and issues.
  • Immigration:
    • Provide guidance to employees regarding the collection, completion, and submission of immigration-related documents, including visa applications, work permits, and residency permits.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact between employees, legal counsel, and government agencies involved in the immigration process. 
  • Company Events and Employee Recognition Programs:
    • Assist in hosting weekly employee presentations, sending work anniversary gifts and organizing physical gatherings.
    • Contribute to initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction and engagement, including sending out engagement surveys and analyzing feedback received.
  • Training and Development:
    • Coordinate training sessions and development programs for new hires and current employees and track employee training completion.
  • Data Management:
    • Maintain department’s SOP, the company’s Intranet, HR databases and employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
    • Generate reports as needed and assist in data analysis for HR metrics.
  • HR Documentation and Compliance:
    • Assist in preparing, filing and maintaining HR documents, including offer letters and contract agreements, and help implement and update HR policies and procedures.
    • Stay informed about labor laws and HR best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Assist Manager and Director with developing and improving People Operations procedures, systems, and standards for overall operations along with ad-hoc People Operations projects, including but not limited to:, employee benefits and perks program, employee relations, performance management, learning and development and culture initiatives.

Must haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 2-3 years of experience as a Generalist
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Understanding of federal and state labor laws
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Approachable and customer-focused
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic work environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, Google products and HRIS software
  • Love for video games and belief that we can elevate games as an art form

  • Industry experience in gaming, entertainment and/or technology

The salary range for this position is $85,000 USD to $95,000 USD annually, with the
opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. This salary range is an estimate, and
the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices.
Employees in this position are eligible to participate in the Company’s standard
employee benefit programs, which currently include the following: medical, dental, vision,
401k, and paid time off.
