Yang Liu

Yang Liu is a Senior Online Experience Engineer at Thatgamecompany. Prior to this, they were a Software Engineer at Oculus VR from April 2016 to March 2018, where they led the VR developer team for the Oculus Store and worked on 3D object streaming initiatives. Yang also worked as a Tech Lead at LinkedIn China from August 2015 to February 2016, where they led the iOS and Android development for the LinkedIn app localized to China. From August 2013 to February 2016, Yang worked as a Senior Software Engineer at LinkedIn, where they were the iOS tech lead in the Careers team and launched the LinkedIn Job Search App. Yang was also a backend engineer in the Jobs team working with Scala, Java, Kafka and SQL. Prior to LinkedIn, Yang interned as a Software Engineer at Zynga from June 2012 to September 2012, where they worked on the front-end of Bubble Safari, one of the most famous Facebook games. Yang has also worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC San Diego from October 2011 to June 2013, and as a Software Development Intern at Microsoft Research Asia from July 2010 to December 2010.

Yang Liu's educational career includes a Master's in Computer Science from UC San Diego, as well as Bachelor's degrees in both Computer Science and Technology and Art Design from Tsinghua University.
