Howard Chiu

Howard Chiu has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Howard started their career at Soft Design as a Support Programmer, providing technical support and assisting with product manuals. Howard then moved on to BAE, where they worked as an Electrical Engineer and Sr. Quality Engineer, inventing a handheld speed reader and achieving ISO9001 certification. After that, Howard joined Detroit Tools and Engineering as a Controls Project Engineer, leading customer-facing projects.

Howard then went on to work at Thyssenkrupp Airport Systems, where they served in various roles including After-Sales Management, Project Management, Engineering Management, and General Management. Here, they managed an 82 million dollar project and successfully completed frontline sales work.

Howard then joined ITW as a General Manager, where they achieved significant results by reducing quality defects and scrap rate. Following that, they became a Board Member at GIXIA Group.

Currently, Howard is the Chief Innovator at THAT Inventions, a Brand/CPG start-up. Howard has achieved remarkable growth in revenue, launching disruptive kitchenware inventions that have earned numerous product and design awards. Howard has also improved brand awareness through effective marketing campaigns, leading to appearances in major TV and media outlets.

Howard Chiu has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas. Howard also attended the University of Arizona, where they studied Electrical and Computer Engineering. Howard Chiu furthered their education by pursuing an MBA in the College of Business at The University of Texas at Arlington. In addition to their degrees, Howard Chiu has obtained various certifications, including Certified Quality Auditor and Certified Software Quality Engineer from the American Society for Quality, Engineer-in-Training from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers, and Microsoft Certified Professional. Howard is also a Texas Quality Award Examiner certified by the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
