Tom Hardy, MSITM, CIOS, CSIS

Tom Hardy has over 20 years of work experience, with a focus on information technology and project management. Tom is currently working as an Information System Security Manager at ThayerMahan Inc. since 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Senior Information Technology Project Manager at ManTech from 2019 to 2022, where they successfully completed a fiber installation project at McConnell Air Force Base ahead of schedule.

In 2019, Tom worked as a Project Lead at ClearPlan LLC, managing a large-scale firewall replacement project for the US Air Force. Tom implemented Risk Management Framework principles to centralize policy and firewall management across 93 Air Force Bases.

Before joining the private sector, Tom served in the United States Air Force from 1998 to 2018. During their time in the Air Force, they held various roles including Senior Project Manager, Supervisor, Client Systems Team, and Supervisor, Communications Focal Point. Tom oversaw the installation and maintenance of operating systems and provided support for a large number of personnel and equipment.

Tom holds a Master of Science in Information Technology Management (MSITM) and has additional certifications in CIOS (Certified Information System Security) and CSIS (Certified Secure Information Systems).

Tom Hardy has a strong educational background in the field of information technology and management. Tom obtained a Master's Degree in Information Technology Management from Trident University International from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management from the same institution between 2007 and 2010. Additionally, they completed an Associate of Science degree in Information Resources Management from the Community College of the Air Force from 2007 to 2009.

In terms of certifications, Tom has achieved several notable qualifications. Tom obtained certifications such as CompTIA IT Operations Specialist and CompTIA Secure Infrastructure Specialist from CompTIA in January of 2016. Tom also acquired a certification in Information Security/Assurance and Digital Forensics from Trident University International in November 2012. Furthermore, they hold certifications in Security+, A+, and Network+ from CompTIA, which they obtained in April 2010 and September 2009, respectively.
