Douglas Jones Jr has diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Douglas most recently served as the Director of Sustainability & Engagement at Thazin Group, overseeing responsible mining, blockchain, renewable energy, and sustainable aquaculture projects across West Africa, East Africa, Southeast Asia, and North America. Before that, they founded BrochVR, a company focused on virtual reality technologies. Additionally, they worked as the Head of Partnerships at StudyAtlas and the Entrepreneur Engagement Lead at Tech Nation. Douglas also held positions at Tech North, Scarlett of Soho, the U.S. Department of State, the Defense Information Systems Agency, and the Palace of Westminster in England.

Douglas Jones Jr has a Bachelor's Degree in Government & International Politics from George Mason University, which they obtained from 2005 to 2010. Douglas then pursued a Master's Degree in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from Newcastle University, completing it in 2014. Recently, from 2023 to 2025, they attended Arizona State University and obtained an Online MS Global Technology Development (Applied International Development) degree in Sustainability Studies. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications from Impact Investment Exchange (IIX) related to impact investing and measuring impact for sustainability.
