Mariel Padilla is a seasoned journalist currently serving as a General Assignment Reporter for The 19th since July 2020. Previously, Mariel contributed to The New York Times as a Reporting Fellow and participated in the Stabile Center for Investigative Journalism as a Post-Graduate Fellow.
