Marshall B. Farrer

EVP, Chief Strategic Growth Officer & President, Europe at The 86 Company

Marshall Farrer is the EVP, Chief Strategic Growth Officer and President, of Europe for Brown‑Forman. Marshall has served on the Executive Leadership Team since 2020.

In his role, he is responsible for Brown‑Forman’s owned distribution businesses in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Poland, Spain, Czechia, and Belgium (effective January 2022), as well as the remaining European markets utilizing partners for distribution. He is also a member of the Board of Directors, joining in 2015, and a fifth-generation Brown family shareholder.

Marshall began his career at Brown‑Forman in 1998, as a marketing manager in the Wine Division in California, where he held several sales and marketing management positions. In 2004, he was named vice president, and chief of staff to the president of Brown‑Forman’s Spirits Americas. In 2006, he was appointed as director of Latin America and the Caribbean. In 2010, he relocated to Sydney, Australia, and was named the managing director, of Australia, New Zealand, and South Pacific.

In 2014, he shifted to marketing as the managing director of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey, leading its global expansion. Shortly after in 2015, he was promoted to senior vice president, and managing director of global travel retail, and in 2018 added the responsibility of Developed Asia Pacific, including North Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. In 2020, Marshall was named president of Europe and joined the Executive Leadership Team.

Within Brown‑Forman, Marshall serves as an executive sponsor for SEED, the employee resource group (ERG) focused on actively attracting and retaining Black, Asian, and minority ethnic people and the first ERG at Brown‑Forman established outside of the United States.

Marshall's community engagement includes previously serving on the board of trustees for Norton Healthcare and The Filson Historical Society, The Nature Conservation of Kentucky, and also as a finance committee member of the America-Australia Fulbright Commission.

He graduated from Rollins College with a Bachelor of Arts and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Tulane University.
