Ian Simpson

Ian Simpson is an accomplished safety and health professional with extensive experience in leading health, safety, and wellbeing strategies across various organizations. Currently serving as the Head of Health Safety & Wellbeing at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation since April 2019, Ian previously held key positions such as National HSE Manager for CBRE, Principal Manager Safety Programs at the State Transit Authority of NSW, and Principal Work Health Safety Adviser at RailCorp. Ian’s expertise includes developing and implementing safety management systems, reducing injury rates, and achieving industry certifications. With a strong educational background, including a PhD in Safety Science from UNSW, Ian has consistently demonstrated a commitment to enhancing workplace safety and wellbeing through innovative programs and leadership.
