Joelle Newnam

Joelle Newnam's work experience begins in 2002 as a Guest Relations staff member at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. In 2003, they worked as a Production Assistant at Declaration Productions, Inc. Joelle then joined Envision EMI in 2004 as an Associate Director of Programs, where they planned and administered leadership development programs for middle school students. At Envision EMI, they also developed an orientation program for new members of the Education Department and managed a budget tracking system.

In 2006, Joelle moved on to The Advisory Board Company, starting as an Associate Director of Account Management and later becoming a Managing Director of Sales. In their role as Managing Director, they managed a team of 55 and was responsible for recruitment, retention, training, and development. Joelle secured over $49M in new business relationships during their seven years at the company.

In 2017, Joelle joined EAB, first as a Managing Director of Business Development for Cappex.com, where they grew the affiliate network to facilitate students' college discovery process. Joelle later became a Managing Director of Strategy & Operations, overseeing goals, incentives, performance analysis, and operational strategy.

In 2021, Joelle worked as the Head of Sales at AKASA, and they are currently serving as the Vice President of Commercial Operations at The Health Management Academy since October 2022.

Joelle Newnam obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Emory University in 2001. In 2002, they pursued a Master's degree in Humanities at the University of Chicago. Later, in 2010, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Healthcare at The George Washington University School of Business. Additionally, in 1999, Joelle took part in the Emory British Studies Program at Oxford University.
