Michael Ash

Michael Ash has a diverse range of work experience. Michael has held multiple executive positions at Nebraska Medicine, starting in 2014. As the EVP, Chief Operating Officer, they provided strategic and operational leadership for various healthcare facilities and oversaw a regional network of health centers. Michael also served as the EVP, Chief Transformation Officer, where they were responsible for Information Technology, Quality & Safety, Marketing, Patient Experience, and Access. Additionally, they held the role of SVP, Chief Transformation Officer, where they played a key role in the development of health information technology infrastructure and implementation of electronic health records globally.

Apart from their roles at Nebraska Medicine, Ash has also served as the Vice Chancellor of Information and Technology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center since 2017. Michael has further contributed to the healthcare industry as a member of the Board of Directors at Nudj Health and as the Co-Founder of Redpoint Summit, a startup focused on innovative technology solutions. Michael has also been a part of advisory boards at Nuance Communications, Palo Alto Networks, CitiusTech, and Guidepoint. Additionally, Ash has dedicated their time to community involvement, serving on the Board of Directors for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Nebraska.

Michael Ash attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City from 1990 to 1994, where they completed a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine from 1994 to 1998, and during this time earned a Medical Doctor (MD) degree. Michael then attended Baylor College of Medicine from 1998 to 2001, specializing in Internal Medicine.
