Lin Pérez

Environmental Data Science Section Lead at The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University

Lin Pérez has a diverse work experience in environmental science and data analysis. They started their career as a Bicycle Transportation Planning Intern at the City of Syracuse, where they focused on bicycle infrastructure design and performed feasibility studies using ArcGIS. Lin then worked as a Research Assistant at the State University of New York College of Environmental Sciences and Forestry, where they researched and briefed brownfield redevelopment project case studies. Currently, Lin holds the position of Program Director and Environmental Data Science Section Lead at The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University. In this role, they lead data synthesis and the development of mapping applications to guide preservation and restoration investments in the Delaware River and Chesapeake Watersheds. They also specialize in watershed modeling, API development, geospatial analysis, and data management.

Lin Pérez attended The Peddie School from 2001 to 2004, but it is unknown whether they earned a degree or studied a specific field. From 2006 to 2009, Lin Pérez pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Biology at the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Environmental Science and Forestry. They then furthered their education at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, obtaining a Master of Landscape Architecture degree between 2010 and 2013.
