Karen Cornetto has extensive work experience in the field of data analysis and evaluation. Karen currently holds the position of Vice President, Data and Evaluation at Achievement Network (ANet) since August 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Research and Evaluation at Round Rock ISD from August 2020 to August 2021. Karen also worked at New Teacher Center, where they held the roles of Vice President, Impact from July 2019 to August 2020, and Senior Director, Impact and Analysis from July 2015 to July 2019. Before joining New Teacher Center, they worked at Austin Independent School District in various research and evaluation positions, including Senior Research Associate, Research and Evaluation Supervisor, and Research and Evaluation Analyst. Karen's career started as an Assistant Professor at the University of Connecticut from August 2001 to June 2006.
Karen Cornetto obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies from the University of Cincinnati, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. Karen then pursued a Master's Degree in Communication Studies at the same institution, completing their studies between 1995 and 1997. After that, Karen went on to earn their Ph.D. in Communication Studies from The University of Texas at Austin from 1997 to 2001.
